Responsibilities 

• Actively listen to customers and their needs, ability to read body language and tone in order to exceed expectations, problem solve, and avoid any potential issues that may arise.
• Effectively communicate with customers. Ask questions and test drive customer cars (when needed with customer); in order to provide technicians with essential information they need. Accurately record customer concerns as needed to ensure the technician can properly asses the vehicle. Set realistic expectations and keep clients updated with timely updates throughout their visit.
• Complete accurate walk-arounds (with video and pictures); to record condition of customers vehicle upon arrival.
• Advise customers on the care of their cars; show the value in our service and recommended maintenance plan. Present the need for additional work when necessary and explain the details, including the additional cost and time needed to complete the recommended service and/or repairs needed.
• Work with the manager when needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• The ability to handle telephone inquiries regarding work in progress, appointments, and general questions. Return phone, email, and text messages promptly.
• Greet customers with a warm welcome when they return to pick-up their vehicle. Review work performed; explain charges and warranty coverage. Ensure customer satisfaction after-the-sale by responding to any issues in a timely manner and taking appropriate action.
• Abide by company policy, best practices and procedure, and perform any other duties that may be required.

Requirements

• Prior to being employed, applicants for employment must complete a full employment application (with professional references); satisfactory background and driving records checks (where applicable); in-person interviews and other inquiries.
• Independent repair facility work history/experience with at least 3 years experience as a service advisor is required.
• Must be knowledgeable with all the most common online aftermarket parts vendors/suppliers and ability to efficiently navigate their parts catalogs is required.
• Must be efficient when building the customers estimate (parts and labor) is required.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the USA for any employer.
• Must be insurable with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Basic communication and problem solving skills.
• Basic mathematical skills using both Standard and Metric units of measure.
• Physical demands include: constantly position body and move in order to greet customers and inspect vehicles, exert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 20lbs occasionally, 10lbs frequently).
• Work is conducted inside, outside, and in a shop environment.
